Senior government minister David Willetts spent some time in Wingerworth this afternoon meeting residents, knocking on doors and visiting a local pub as part of his visit to North East Derbyshire constituency.
Shortly after a visit to a local business in Clay Cross, Mr. Willetts joined local Conservative activists to campaign for the upcoming Council elections in Wingerworth where Cllr Barry Lewis is standing to be the village's next representative at Matlock County Hall.
After the canvassing, Mr. Willetts joined local Councillors for a quick drink in the Smithy Pond to hear more about the good work of the Conservative county council and local views on the key issues for government.
