The roads and lanes around Ashover were packed again on Wednesday as thousands of visitors descended on the village to enjoy the annual Ashover Show.
Ashover's biggest event is now in its 83rd year and is one of the most well known and loved country shows in the area. This year was no exception with a wide variety of stalls, lots of entertainment, exhibitions and a fly past.
Prospective MP Lee Rowley was among the crowds to enjoy the food, drink and entertainment. Along with District Councillor, Peter Ramshaw and a number of parish councillors, Lee met with lots of local residents and visited the stalls of local organisations including the WI (where the cakes were fantastic!)
"Well done again to Ashover for pulling off another great show," said Lee. "It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves all day. This is one of our area's best opportunities to highlight just what our area has to offer - and Ashover did us proud again!"
