Lee Rowley has launched a campaign against Derbyshire County Council's proposal to scrap funding for all school crossing patrols in our area.
The proposal by County Hall was announced last year, causing public outrage amongst local residents.
"The County Council has completely made the wrong decision." said Lee,
"School crossing patrols are an important part of our local community and play a huge role in ensuring children get to school safely. The county council needs to find other ways to save money - just like other councils have managed to do."
Since the proposal was made pubic, Lee Rowley has launched a petition for North East Derbyshire residents to sign, which will be used to lobby the County Council to stop this nonsensical proposal.
"Please sign my petition so we can put pressure on the Council to reconsider."
