North East Derbyshire welcomed the Minister for Universities and Science, David Willetts, today as he visited as Clay Cross business to highlight the success of a local apprenticeship scheme.
Mr. Willetts spent time with local apprentices at Millbrook Precision Engineering which is running a highly successful job scheme for young people and is headquartered at Incomol Business Park in Clay Cross. He was accompanied in the visit by local Councillors and the Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Young People, Cllr Barry Lewis.
Prospective Conservative MP for North East Derbyshire Lee Rowley commented: "It's great to see a government minister again in North Derbyshire finding out more about successes in our local community.
