The formal consultation on changes to fire provision in Derbyshire is about to close tomorrow evening. Lee Rowley, North East Derbyshire's Conservative Parliamentary candidate is urging all residents who have not yet responded to do so before the window closes.
"After several months of hard work supporting the campaign - including collecting signatures, holding meetings, knocking on doors, delivering leaflets and meeting with the Chief Fire Officer - the formal consultation on the future of Dronfield Fire Station closes tomorrow. If you haven't yet responded, please make sure you do so before the consultation ends."
"I know many residents will have already signed one of the petitions but they should also try to complete the formal consultation as well. It's not the easiest consultation to complete but the best way to let the Fire Station know the depth of feeling in Dronfield is to fill in the questions that the Fire Authority have set."
Even when the consultation has closed, Lee has pledged to keep on fighting for the right result. "We'll keep the pressure up over the next few weeks in the hope that the Fire Authority do the right thing!"
