Lee and Liz Truss at Global Brands

Lee Rowley MP and leader of the Conservative group at North East Derbyshire District Council, Martin Thacker, welcomed the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Liz Truss MP, to Chesterfield today to talk business, enterprise and commerce.

Lee, Liz and Martin visited leading local businessman, Steve Garcia-Perez, to see both the Peak Edge Hotel in Ashover and the Global Brands hub in Clay Cross.  Steve's business, Global Brands, is a leading business in North Derbyshire employing several hundred people.

"I wanted to show Liz just what a successful local business in North Derbyshire is able to do," said Lee.  "Global Brands has been one of the UK's success stories in recent years and it is thanks to businesses like Global Brands and businessmen like Steve that Chesterfield is growing in the way it is.  It was great to show Liz all the fantastic work that is being done here."
