Lee was privileged to be able to visit Ashgate Hospicecare this afternoon.
Lee met Chief Executive, Lucy Nickson, members of staff and some local volunteers as he toured the hospice. He also saw the newly opened wing which has done so much to improve and extend the services that the Hospice can offer.
Many local residents of Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire hold a special place in their hearts for all of the work that Ashgate Hospice does in our community," commented Lee, "so it was great to be able to visit and find out more about what they do now I am an MP. Although many of us think of the hospice as a physical location on Ashgate Road, most of their work is actually out in the community every day and it was really helpful to hear about everything they do day-in, day-out. I look forward to supporting them wherever I can."
