Prospective Conservative MP Lee Rowley joined local residents and over 100 other runners at the Barlow Carnival 10k run this Friday evening.
The Barlow 10k is now an annual event held to promote the Barlow Carnival in a few weeks time and saw runners from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire come to the village to race around the quiet countryside.
Lee, who completed the run in just under 50 minutes, was delighted to be able to take part in such a fantastic local event. "Barlow put on a superb community run," said Lee. "From the local residents who were helping out at the start, to the marshalls all the way round the course and the Hare & Hounds who put on the drinks at the end, you could see just why so many people love living in Barlow. Thanks to everyone who organised!"
