Lee Rowley has found the council spent £22,026 on translation services in 2013-14, and £12,785 so far in 2014-15.
The council is now consulting on plans to remove crossing wardens from over thirty sites, remove the lucnh time cover from seven schools and not recruit anymore wardens for another nineteen schools with vacant posts.
Lee sees this as "yet another example of where County Hall could find savings before cutting lollipop ladies."
